Janitorial/Maintenance Worker
Qualifications:
High school diploma.Previous custodial or janitorial experience (preferred).Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation standards, and use of janitorial equipment.Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions and schedules.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.Experience in general building maintenance or related trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC). Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.Ability to read and follow work orders or instructions.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety.Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team. Can perform routine walkthroughs and building and classroom inspections
Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing). Clean and restock restrooms, and common areas. Empty trash and recycling receptacles. Maintain floors, carpets, windows, and furniture.Report any safety hazards or needed repairs to the supervisor. Assist with event setups and room arrangements as needed. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., lighting, plumbing, painting, door handles).Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify repair needs.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.Assist with installations, furniture assembly, and equipment setup.Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in safe working condition.Ensure compliance with building safety standards and regulations.Collaborate with janitorial staff to keep facilities safe and operational.
