Not many high schools are able to recruit from the collegiate level. “The interview process was very stringent,” Mr. Jones explained, with a panel of at least seven staff members from school leadership, community engagement, cheerleading, women’s basketball, and men’s athletics, then CEO Turner. After two rounds of interview and a school board meet and greet, “I am thrilled to have been selected to lead this amazing Pharaoh legacy into the future!” Mr. Jones stated this past Monday in a press gathering in the beautiful QEA gymnasium. Mr. Jones has tapped Lorenzo Jenkins as his assistant and was pivotal in recruiting QEA’s new middle school boys’ basketball coach Mychalanted Eubanks, the former Converse University assistant men’s basketball coach.
