Executive Leadership Team
Quality Education Academy has a TEAM administration! This unique organization of leadership pulls the strengths of each executive member to make all decisions. Mr. Simon Johnson, Mr. Isaac F. Pitts, Mrs. Tamara Turner, Mrs. Shelbia Wiley, Mr. Diya Williams and Ms. Willetta Cunningham are members of this team.
You will notice we do not use the titles of traditional public schools, such as principal or curriculum coordinator. Very little that we do is “traditional”! We have a unique team with a unique challenge to do something different—for different results. Our administrative team meets weekly to plan, problem-solve and innovate. The team also meets weekly with all teacher team leaders for the same purpose.

Mr. Simon Johnson-
Educational History:
Masters of Education - Cambridge University
Mr. Johnson was born in Littleton, North Carolina into a family of nine children. It was in this large family that he learned grave lesson of life including his business skill and the love of learning. It is no wonder that his career evolved into the worlds of business and education. He has owned his own businesses including AAMCO Transmissions SEBS Transmissions and Agrijohn Homes to name a few. He is one of the co-founders of Quality Education Schools. Mr. Johnson is a bible school teacher and active member of the church. He is married, father of two and grandfather of one. Vision: Mr. Johnson has always firmly believed that at Quality Education Schools we are providing a safe, loving, and user friendly learning environment for all children from one year old through high school. For Mr. Johnson, Quality Education Schools is a dream come true. The value of establishing long term deep rooted relationships between homes and schools cannot be overestimated as it pertains to their impact on the development of emotional intelligence and student achievement. At Quality Education Schools, we believe everyone has something to offer that will help this world be a better place. We invite the community and businesses to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the education of our community. With this passion, Mr. Johnson hopes to united the students, parents, staff, Board of Directors, and community in an effort designed to benefit the entire global society. He expects the schools to rise to meet the societal challenges of tomorrow, today.
Mrs. Tamara Turner-
Educational History:
Bachelor of Science in Education - North Carolina A & T State University Masters of School Administration - North Carolina A & T State University Mrs. Tamara Turner is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mrs. Turner volunteered each summer at Quality Education Institute and Academy from 1991 until 2003. Tamara taught kindergarten and first grade in the Guilford County School System. She also has taught third grade and served as Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator for Quality Education Schools. Mrs. Turner has been a mentor and bible school teacher for teen girls since 1999.
Mrs. Shelbia Wiley-
Educational History: Associates Degree in Micro-computers and Business Administration Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Bachelor of Arts in Theology Advanced Degree in Christian Counseling Mrs. Shelbia Wiley, Federal Programs Coordinator at Quality Education Schools is married to Mr. Shelley R. Wiley, Jr. They have two children, Bradford and Sara. Mrs. Wiley has been with Quality Education Schools since 2002.
Mr. Diya
Williams-
Educational History: Durham County Schools - Hillside High School Bachelors of Arts in Religion - Wake Forest University Middle Grades Math Certification- Winston Salem State University Masters of Education- Cambridge College Mr. Diya Williams began as a Quality Education School middle grades math teacher. He served in this capacity for eight years and his duties at QES also include scheduling, cooperative learning, teacher training, teacher implementation and feedback and use of technology for instruction. He is married (fiver years) to the former Anada Camelia Rookmin Joseph. They have a three year old son, Diya Hassan Willians, II. He is a minister at The Assembly at Durham Christian Center and he is a musician (drums) for this Assembly. Mr. Diya Williams is a humble servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mr. Isaac Pitts, Jr. -
Educational History: Forsyth County Public Schools- Parkland High School Bachelor of Arts Degree - Shaw University Mr. Isaac Pitts, Jr. serves as Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach at Quality Education Schools. He is a member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association and the Black Coaches Association. Mr. Pitts served as Assistant Coach at Parkland High School from 2003 until 2008. He has been instrumental in sending twenty one student athletes to Division I universities. Mr. Pitts in married to Mrs. Bridgett Pitts. They have four children.
